This program provides online instruction, e-learning, or distance learning only.
This 600-hour program prepares the student for entry-level employment in a front office setting of a health care facility. The emphasis of the program is placed on medical ethics, terminology, human relations, secretarial and business skills for the medical office and insurance billing, basic computer operations including electronic health records, administration of front office medical procedures, insurance forms, CPT codes. Students will be required to participate in a 160-hours of extern experience after completion of their didactic studies. Upon completion of this program graduates will receive a program certificate of completion.Obtainable course completion certificates for Administrative Medical Assistant:Administrative Medical Assistant - Certificate of Completion: Students who complete 440 hours of didactic Administrative Medical Assistant training plus the 160 hours of off-site externship experience will receive a certificate of completion as an Administrative Medical Assistant.
