This program provides in-person instruction only.
For qualified candidates this intensive job training program provides avenues of opportunity in the field of CNC machining. Leading companies in the greater Los Angeles region have a need for skilled, trained welders to fabricate parts and assemblies for a wide variety of industries (aerospace, automotive, etc.). The program will teach participants important skills in quality, documentation, and record keeping in manufacturing environment. Participants will learn to read and interpret blueprint/ product drawings, including the use of tolerances in measurement. Additionally, participants will learn applied math operations in order to set-up and verify machining operations. Participants will learn how to be safe in an industrial environment and how to ensure product flow while maintaining product quality. Program includes the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Measurement, Materials & Safety - Standard Machining Level I (entry level) Certification, which is a performance-based assessment and examination.
