This program provides in-person instruction only.
The Electrocardiography Technician (EKG) Program prepares students to successfully attain training and qualifications to become an EKG Technician. The EKG program introduces students to the steps and procedures of how to perform and read EKG strips. It is a 7-week course that meets in-person Monday and Thursday evenings. The course covers the procedures for administering EKG to clients, and the ability to read and detect common abnormalities on an EKG. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the national examination with the National Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Additional out of pocket student fees are approximately $170.00 (Certification and Live Scan).
