This program provides in-person instruction only.
Conducted in a fully interactive format (3 hours per week plus 2 Saturdays for 3 hours), this course allows participants to complete the 27 hours of instruction in a systematic manner. Attend and successfully complete 9 modules (7 required modules + 2 elective modules) in less than 2 months. To allow for flexibility that fits into your busy schedule, participants can choose 2 elective modules to fulfill the 2 elective requirement. Each required module duration is 3 hours each Wednesday evening (6:30 - 9:30 pm). Elective module duration is 3 hours on 2 selected Saturday mornings (9:30am - 12:30pm). Certificate of completion will be provided upon successful completion of the course.Upon completion of the course, participants will enhance and improve their construction management knowledge and skills that effectively bring the greatest business value to their employers or clients. With a focus on the basic management concepts, business strategies, core competencies, this course is ideal for anyone interested in becoming more knowledgeable and marketable in the booming design and construction industry. Entry level and experienced professionals desiring to improve their skill sets and advance their careers in construction management will greatly benefit from this course. Private and public building owners are increasingly relying on their construction managers to deliver positive and successful project outcome. Qualified construction managers are required to possess the right management skill sets in order to lead their consultants and deliver projects on time and within budget. Construction managers and building professionals are in high demand and they are very competitively compensated. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2015), the mean annual wage of construction managers is $97,510. This professional construction management certificate course is designed to expand participants basic project management skills and improving their understanding of construction.
